Senior Legal Counsel - NY Licensed

A company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel - Finance/Insurance for a temporary contract position, remote. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice on commercial contracts, corporate transactions, governance, litigation, regulatory, and compliance issues Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, distribution, and third-party agreements Manage litigation and disputes, including strategy, risk assessment, and oversight of outside counsel Required Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in the life insurance/annuity, broker/dealer, or related industry Strong knowledge of annuities, life insurance, and consumer financial products Experience in a large multinational law firm and/or in-house legal department J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar (preferably NY, TX, or CA) Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to manage and execute projects effectively
