Job Title: Design EngineerLocation: West Fargo, ND (Onsite)We are seeking a Power Electronics Design Engineer with hands-on experience in designing power electronic assemblies such as 3-phase inverters and DC/DC converters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing cost-effective, high-quality, and high-performance electronic design solutions and supporting product development from concept to production.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and evaluate power electronic assemblies (3-phase inverters, DC/DC converters, etc.)Develop design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performanceAnalyze and interpret technical requirements to determine optimal solutionsDocument engineering decisions, design analysis, and prototype build requirementsCollaborate with manufacturing, mechanical, software, and supplier teamsCreate and execute test plans for product verification and validationSupport prototype development and production implementationPerform circuit architecture design, component selection, and trade-off analysisRequired Skills2+ years of experience in electronic circuit designExperience with microprocessor-based embedded electronic systemsUnderstanding of testing, manufacturing, and quality requirementsExperience adapting electronic circuitry for vehicle or equipment applicationsKnowledge of standard engineering techniques and design proceduresExperience in circuit architecture, component selection, and alternatives evaluationGood written and verbal communication skillsPreferred SkillsExperience designing products from concept to productionExperience designing for harsh environmental conditions3-phase motor control inverter design and verificationDC-DC power electronics design experienceHybrid or Electric Vehicle system knowledgeExperience with MathCADExperience with circuit simulation tools (LTspice, PSpice, etc.)Experience with Mentor Graphics or schematic capture toolsMicrocontroller and FPGA-based design experience
