Responsible for supporting all areas of the field operations.Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is requiredResponsibilitiesMonitor control panels to ensure that materials are being pumped at the correct pressure, density, rate, and concentrationOperate engines and pumps to shut off wells according to production schedules, and to switch flow of oil into storage tanksPerform routine maintenance on equipmentRepair gas and oil meters and gaugesUnload and assemble pipes and pumping equipment, using hand toolsAttach pumps and hoses to wellheadsStart compressor engines and divert oil from storage tanks into compressor units and auxiliary equipment to recover natural gas from oilOpen valves to return compressed gas to bottoms of specified wells to re-pressurize them and force oil to surfaceSupervise oil pumpers and other workers engaged in producing oil from wellsQualificationsAlways were appropriate PPE (FRC, hard hat, steel toed shoes/boots, safety glasses and hearing protection)Drive appropriately for the conditions, always wear seat belt, do not use phones in any way while operating a vehicleFollow lock-out/tag-out procedures when opening any piping or working on equipment including electronicsFollow call-out procedures when on callEnsure contract workers in your area are wearing PPE and working in a safe manner. Implement stop work authority as neededReport environmental spills immediately and erosion as it is foundRoutinely check and maintain all mechanical equipment (ATVs, water pumps, maxi heaters, etc.) Other responsibilities as assignedBasic computer skills (excel, word, outlook)Ability to understand gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properlyAbility to perform routine maintenance on machines and equipmentAbility to identify and fix most issues with limited or no directionMust have a good driving record and a valid driver’s licenseMust be able to pass the pre-employment drug screen and background checkAbout UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
