AWS Senior engineer
• Use Terraform and AWS to deploy highly available, scalable, and secure applications • Assist in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions • Provide consulting and technical expertise on securely integrating additional cloud services and third-party solutions (such as Salesforce) into their application • Collaborate with the Cloud Engineering, Cloud Security, and Identity Teams on the administration and engineering of Role-Based Access Controls and processes • Help design and develop Governance of cloud infrastructure, including both technical controls and cost governance structures • Create and update support documentation and standards. • Develop automated methodologies for deployment activities, configuration management, supporting systems and business processes. • Use Jira to track and manage all work through the development life cycle. • Proactively analyze and contribute improvements to support our deployment processes • Investigate and contribute to solving various issues in production environments. • Drive compliance and security efforts related to systems managed by the team. Skills / Experience • 10+ years experience in AWS • Experience in designing and implementing highly resilient, cloud-native and multi-region solutions for public cloud infrastructure • Strong proficiency with Kubernetes (EKS) and Kafka (MSK) in AWS • Strong proficiency with High Availability and resiliency in the cloud • AWS professional and/or specialty certifications, such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer • Experience in implementing Secure Architectures for private and/or public internet facing systems • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, infrastructure, and best practices. Such as Containers, Serverless, Microservices • Strong understanding of IaC, CI/CD Pipelines, Terraform, Bitbucket, Bamboo etc. • Strong understanding of networking and internet protocols and distributed systems • Proficiency in Python, AWS CLI • Working knowledge of Shared Responsibility models • Prior experience building out CI/CD pipelines • Experience working in Agile teams, and related tools (Jira, Confluence, etc) • Background in software development a plus
