Programmers.io is currently looking for a "Healthcare Business Analyst"Hybrid in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.Contract Role open for C2C OR W2Job SummaryKey ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Solution DesignElicit, analyze, and document complex business, operational, and system requirementsTranslate business problems into functional requirements, workflows, process models, and user storiesFacilitate requirements workshops with business and technology stakeholdersSupport end-to-end solution design and implementation activitiesValidate that delivered solutions meet business objectives and acceptance criteriaPayment Integrity & Healthcare Domain AnalysisAnalyze healthcare claims, provider billing patterns, member utilization, and payment integrity opportunitiesSupport initiatives focused on preventing improper payments and reducing financial leakageCollaborate with SMEs to understand clinical and non-clinical claim scenariosPerform root cause analysis and identify process improvement opportunitiesAI & Intelligent Automation EnablementTranslate business risks and operational challenges into AI-ready business requirementsDefine business rules, signals, thresholds, and intervention logic supporting AI-enabled workflowsPartner with Data Science teams to define model inputs, outputs, business validation criteria, and success measuresSupport Human-in-the-Loop review processes and AI governance practicesParticipate in workflow automation and intelligent decision-support initiativesEnsure AI-driven solutions remain explainable, auditable, and aligned with business objectivesData & Analytics SupportAnalyze large healthcare datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunitiesCollaborate with analytics teams to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirementsSupport business validation and testing effortsLeverage data to support strategic decision makingStakeholder EngagementServe as liaison between business, operations, product, engineering, data science, and analytics teamsFacilitate discussions, alignment sessions, and solution reviewsPresent recommendations and findings to leadership and stakeholdersDrive consensus across cross-functional teamsPreferred Experience10+ years of Business Analysis / Business Systems Analysis experienceStrong U.S. Healthcare experience working with all Lines of businessesPayment Integrity, Claims, FWA/Revenue Cycle Management experienceExperience supporting AI, advanced analytics, or intelligent automation initiativesHealthcare claims processing and adjudication knowledgeKnowledge of lifecycle of a claim is a “MUST”.
