Job TitleConstruction Quality Control Manager (CQCM)LocationHirani New York City Office - New York, NY 10001 US (Primary)Job TypeFull-timeCategoryConstructionTravel25 - 50%Job DescriptionHirani Engineering & Land Surveying is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to support Design-Build projects by ensuring all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and contract requirements.This role requires a hands-on, onsite presence and strong familiarity with public agency standards. The ideal candidate brings experience working on NYCHA or similar public housing projects, with the ability to navigate documentation, compliance, and stakeholder coordination effectively.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFIELD QUALITY OVERSIGHTMonitor onsite construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and approved submittalsVerify workmanship and adherence to project requirementsIdentify deficiencies and coordinate timely corrective actionsMATERIAL & ACTIVITY VERIFICATIONWitness material deliveries and confirm alignment with approved submittalsObserve onsite testing activities (excluding special inspections)Ensure materials and installations meet project standardsDOCUMENTATION & REPORTINGPrepare detailed daily reports, including:Date, time, and inspector nameLocations of observed activitiesSubcontractors onsiteTimestamped photosObservations, deficiencies, and corrective actionsMaintain accurate and organized project documentationDEFICIENCY TRACKING & CLOSEOUTTrack and update QC Deficiency LogsFollow through on open items to ensure proper resolutionAssist with punch list coordination and project closeoutCOORDINATIONCollaborate with Quality Manager, Design-Builder, subcontractors, and project stakeholdersCoordinate with agencies such as NYCHA, other oversight entitiesSupport compliance with all agencies and contract requirementsJob RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3-5+ years of experience in construction quality control or inspectionNYCHA experience strongly preferred (or comparable public housing/public agency project experience)Experience on public sector projects (City, Municipal, or Federal) requiredStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and field practicesAbility to identify non-conforming work and enforce quality standardsExperience with Procore or similar construction management systems preferredHighly detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills
