Senior Avionics Hardware EngineerLos Angeles, CAOur client are one of the most exciting Space start-ups around and they are looking for a Senior Avionics Hardware Engineer to own the development, integration, and testing of navigation system avionics used within a next-generation launch vehicle. Scope:You will work across multidisciplinary engineering teams to perform architecture trades, develop acceptance and qualification test plans, and support the integration of critical navigation sensing infrastructure used for vehicle guidance, landing, recovery, and reuse operations.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with navigation electronics and sensor integration in high-dynamic environments, including GNSS receiver systems and inertial measurement sensors. You will serve as a subject matter expert for the navigation sensor suite and support overall system performance, reliability, and operational readiness.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience developing electronics for harsh-environment or mission-critical systems such as aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, or autonomous platformsStrong understanding of GNSS systems, including satellite tracking, acquisition, PVT calculations, and navigation error sourcesExperience with IMUs, gyroscopes, accelerometers, and sensor integration in dynamic environmentsExperience with hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysisExperience working cross-functionally with GNC, software, electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teamsExperience developing integrated electronics solutions from concept through testing and integrationDesirable Requirements (not essential):Experience with mixed-signal PCB design and navigation electronicsBackground in navigation sensor fusion and multi-sensor integrationExperience with GPS, IMUs, magnetometers, altimeters, LiDAR, or related sensing technologiesFamiliarity with high-speed serial interfaces such as SPI, PCIe, or EthernetExperience with SoCs, microcontrollers, and embedded processing systemsPrior experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or autonomous systems industries
