This is an on-site position is seated at our DSI site in Poestenkill, NY.This role works closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to ensure materials and services are available on time and at the right cost. You will play a key role in maintaining supply continuity, managing vendor relationships, and supporting cost and quality objectives. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who understands the urgency and precision required in manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesPlace purchase orders in the ERP system and coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time deliveryIssue RFQs and support vendor selection based on cost, quality, and lead timePartner with production planning to adjust order schedules and avoid supply disruptionsPerform basic cost analysis and support volume planning for key commoditiesIdentify and qualify new suppliers to support business needs and new product introductionsMaintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and documentationMonitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, and deliveryWork with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve invoice and delivery discrepanciesSupport continuous improvement efforts, including cost savings and process efficiency initiativesEnsure clear communication of order status, changes, and risks to internal stakeholdersRequirements: RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience3–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsStrong working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office toolsSolid understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost controlStrong communication skills, both written and verbalOrganized with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAble to work under pressure and meet production-driven deadlinesTeam-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused approachBenefits: Base Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 Company sponsored benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D insurance, disability and flexible spending account (FSA)Voluntary Critical Illness & Accidental Injury InsuranceCompany 401(k) Plan with 4% employer match (Employee/Employer Contributions 100% vested upon hire)Paid vacation and holidaysBonus eligible positionThe estimated salary range allows for candidates with various levels of skills and experience to be considered, as well as provides room for growth achieved within the role over time. Any offer extended to a candidate or salary increase consideration for a current employee will be based on the individual’s unique set of knowledge, skills, education, experience and geographic location, as well as internal equity.
