Brand Ambassador

Founded in 2016, Vegetable and Butcher is an early-stage food-tech startup making healthy eating remarkably simple-fresh, flavorful, locally prepared meals and functional beverages delivered directly to your doorstep. We have delivered 500,000+ meals to health-conscious individuals and families throughout the Washington, D.C. area.We are a passionate, crafty, farm-to-plate-loving team on a mission to help people [re]establish a more meaningful, more responsible, lasting relationship with wholesome and nourishing food. And we are revolutionizing how fresh, nutritious, high-quality food is purchased, manufactured, and delivered at scale.Our growth has created a need for several new Brand Ambassadors who share our passion for health, sustainability, and great food. An integral part of the V+B family, our brand ambassadors represent us at tasting events at gyms, apartments, and co-working spaces throughout the greater DC area. This role is an opportunity to be on the front lines of a growing company: Many of our ambassadors have become a permanent part of the V+B team in customer experience, operations, and marketing roles.This is an ongoing, part-time, contract position starting at $25/hour, plus discounts on healthy, delicious food. Event opportunities are offered on an as-needed basis, with a flexible schedule. Most events take place between Wednesday and Sunday, and ambassadors may opt into events based on availability.**Reliable transportation is required as travel to event locations with a table and marketing materials is necessary, including facility pickup prior to events.Your Primary Objectives:Engage with community members in a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner to generate brand awareness and customer conversion by offering product samples and sharing what sets V+B apart.Your Responsibilities:Raise brand awareness and educate community members on our service and what sets us apartBecome familiar with V+B's mission, vision, goals, products, menus, and experienceMotivate consumers to subscribe to V+BTravel to and represent V+B at various spaces throughout the greater DC areaSet up and break down table with marketing materialsTake and share photos of eventsCollect and report contact information in a timely mannerProvide event feedback in a timely mannerKeep track of event supplies and submit requests for replenishmentOther tasks as requiredWeekends required**Who You Are:Has a passion for great food, health, nutrition, and sustainabilityFriendly, approachable, and outgoingEnjoys engaging in conversationExcellent presentation skillsReliable and punctualSales experience and prior success and enthusiasm for hitting goals are a plusHas a valid driver's license and has reliable access to a carLife at Vegetable and Butcher:Join a kind, diverse, passionate, and driven teamOpportunity for growthDiscounts on delicious and nutritious meals, snacks, and functional beverages to keep you feeling healthy and energized
