Job DescriptionPARRIS Law Firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team. This is a senior-level role that serves as a lead within our litigation structure, guiding and overseeing the work of junior litigation assistants and secretaries. This is a hands-on position suited for a highly capable professional with experience in personal injury and/or environmental law. You will play a critical role in driving cases forward, supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, and ensuring matters are handled with precision, urgency, and care.Primary Duties:Manage a high-volume caseload through all stages of litigation, including trialProvide direction, oversight, and support to junior litigation staff, ensuring quality and consistency of workCoordinate and manage discovery, including reviewing discovery and responses for issuesIdentify experts needed, contact and retention of their servicesReview medical records and coordinate expert examinationsDrive trial preparation including drafting trial pleadings, and in-person trial attendance as neededRoutine contact with clients, opposing counsel, experts and attorneysApplicant Requirements:10+ years of litigation experienceExperience in personal injury and/or environmental law strongly preferredStrong working knowledge of California civil procedure and court rulesMastery of legal terminology, legal processes and proceduresExperience filing in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts preferredTrial experience preferredHigh attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing deadlinesCapable of typing a minimum of 70 WPMSpanish speaking is a plusOur firm offers a comprehensive salary and benefits package that includes:401kAnnual Profit SharingPaid Time OffPaid Sick Time8 Paid Holidays per YearHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceSupplemental InsurancePay Range: $45 - $60/hour (commensurate with experience)
