Controls Manager

Job DescriptionThe Controls Manager will oversee a team of 4-6 Controls Engineers and 3-4 Controls Designers. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with team development and project oversight. The ideal candidate brings strong PLC/PC-based controls experience along with proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor and grow a diverse technical team.Principal AccountabilitiesDevelop PC- and PLC-based control systems for custom continuous process and material handling equipmentLead development of controls platforms that integrate multiple equipment systems and interface with customer networks and ERP systemsVerify operation of finished equipment prior to customer release to ensure controls meet specificationsTroubleshoot and resolve customer control issues domestically and internationally (on-site and remotely)Apply electrical engineering principles to support system performance and reliabilityStay current with advancements in electrical controls technologyPerform additional duties as assigned by the VP of EngineeringRequirementsProven experience managing and developing a diverse team, including hiringStrong understanding of electrical engineering principlesExperience with PLC and PC programming; Allen-Bradley and Siemens preferredKnowledge of industrial networks, HMI development, and motion control systemsIndusoft and Ignition experience a plus1-3+ years of experience in computer systemsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWillingness to travel domestically and internationallyAreas Supervised4-6 Controls Engineers3-4 Controls DesignersThis is an opportunity to lead a skilled controls team within a stable, growing organization while making a direct impact on engineering innovation and project execution.Please submit a resume for consideration.
