Operations Supervisor
The Operations Supervisor (M1) is responsible for coordinating and supervising day‑to‑day operations within a high‑volume pharmacy fulfillment environment. This role ensures staffing, workflow, productivity, safety, and quality expectations are met while adhering to established procedures and regulatory requirements.Reporting to an Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor provides front‑line leadership to pharmacy operations staff, monitors performance, resolves operational issues, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The role has a direct impact on shift‑level execution and short‑term operational goals.Hours: Predominantly second shift (2p-10:30p) but must be open to flexible hours and rotating Saturdays.Sundays and Mondays 8:00AM start to 4:30PM or finish. Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:00PM-10:30PMThursdays 8:00AM- 4:30PMWhat You’ll Do (Responsibilities)Supervise daily pharmacy operations, including staffing assignments, intraday staffing adjustments, and production flowProvide work direction, assign priorities, resolve routine operational issues, and ensure timely completion of workMonitor productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunitiesReview operational reports and collaborate with Operations Management, Inventory, Facilities, and Transportation teamsEnsure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety programs, and regulatory requirementsSupport and maintain SOPs, training materials, and required compliance documentationParticipate in onboarding, training, coaching, and performance feedback for operations staffSupport quarterly performance objectives at the team and individual levelLead and promote a safety‑first culture and uphold 5S/housekeeping standardsComplete incident reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions as neededCoordinate vendor support and assist with troubleshooting operational system issuesOccasionally assist with operational tasks (e.g., training support) as business needs requireBasic Requirements(Aligned to Career Framework – Minimum Education & Typical Experience or Equivalent Combination)These must be clearly visible on a resume:3+ years of relevant operations experience, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilityExperience coordinating work activities in a production, distribution, pharmacy, or operations environmentExperience reviewing operational reports, metrics, or performance dataPreferred Skills / Experience4‑year degree or equivalent professional experienceExperience in pharmacy operations, healthcare distribution, logistics, automation, warehouse, or manufacturing environmentsExperience interviewing, coaching, scheduling, and performance documentationFamiliarity with regulated environments (e.g., pharmacy, FDA‑regulated, ISO)Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systemsExperience supporting training programs and SOP documentationWork Environment, Travel & Physical RequirementsOn‑site role in a high‑volume pharmacy or distribution environmentPredominantly second shift with flexibility for schedule changes and overtimeOccasional lifting of up to 35 poundsExtended periods of standing or walking (8+ hours per shift)Occasional time working within the operational area to support business needsNo regular travel required
