Database Engineer

Annapolis Junction, MD; Washington, DC; or Reston, VA area preferred (telework is allowed)We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to support the modernization of a critical government information system. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle database administration, specifically Oracle 19c, with proven experience in both on-premises and AWS RDS environments. You will be responsible for database creation, schema design and implementation, performance tuning, and establish robust backup and restore procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. You will work closely with Java developers to optimize database interactions, support SAP Business Intelligence reporting requirements, and ensure seamless integration with Apache Solr indexing processes.
