Senior Robotics Engineer

About the CompanyWe’re partnering with a fast-growing robotics company deploying autonomous systems into real-world, high-impact environments such as construction, infrastructure, and large-scale outdoor operations. Their robots are already in active commercial use, solving practical problems where precision, reliability, and scalability matter. This is a hands-on, senior technical role focused on delivering robust robotic systems from prototype through to field deployment. The RoleAs a Senior Robotics Engineer, you will take ownership of system-level architecture and integration across hardware and software. You’ll work at the intersection of robotics, autonomy, and real-world deployment, ensuring systems operate reliably outside of controlled lab environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bridging theory and practice, and who can lead complex robotics systems into production.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end robotics system architecture, spanning sensing, compute, controls, and field deploymentLead integration of hardware components including sensors, embedded systems, and communication modulesDevelop and optimize autonomy pipelines (perception, localization, planning, execution)Drive system reliability, debugging, and performance improvements in real-world environmentsCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software teamsSupport field testing, deployment, and continuous iteration based on real-world dataMentor engineers and set technical direction across projectsRequirements3+ years of experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or related fieldsStrong systems engineering mindset with experience integrating hardware and softwareProficiency in C++ and/or Python in production robotics environmentsExperience with ROS/ROS2 or similar robotics middlewareBackground in one or more: perception, localization, motion planning, or controlsExperience working with real robotic platforms (not purely simulation)Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in field environmentsNice to HaveExperience with outdoor or field robotics (e.g., construction, agriculture, surveying)Familiarity with GNSS/GPS, LiDAR, and multi-sensor fusionEmbedded systems or low-level hardware integration experienceExperience scaling systems from prototype to commercial deploymentWhy This RoleWork on robots already deployed in the real world—not just prototypesHigh ownership and technical autonomy at the system levelOpportunity to shape architecture and influence product directionFast-moving environment with clear impact on deployed systems
