K-12 Math Tutor (Remote)

Major Responsibilities Tutor students in an online classroom in a dynamic and supportive manner
Customize lesson plans to meet students’ needs and keep them engaged in material
Familiarize yourself with a student’s school curriculum
Model professionalism and accountability at all times by showing up to tutoring sessions on time, replying to students and parents in a timely manner, and holding students accountable for assignments
Create an open, safe, and positive learning environment
Regularly document student progress and communicate this progress with students and parents
Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress
High‑school level expertise in academic subject matter evident through educational background or work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Availability after school and/or weekends; summer daytime availability a plus
Applicants must pass a qualifying exam
Access to a reliable internet connection and computer in a reliably quiet location
Experience with one‑to‑one tutoring preferred
Experience teaching online preferred
