Assistant to the Land Maintenance Manager
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Land Maintenance Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving our land, supporting various outdoor activities, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our property. CDL is preferred, but not required. If a candidate does not currently hold a CDL license, they should be eligible with the DOT and following successful completion of a 60 day probationary period, the employee will be eligible for full reimbursement of CDL training program costs.
Responsibilities:
Land Maintenance:
Mowing and trimming grass and brush.
Operate snow blowers, shovels, plows, and other equipment to clear snow and ice.
General landscaping duties including planting, pruning, and weeding.
Light maintenance of fences, gates, and other small structures. General handyman tasks.
Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of food plots.
Setting up and maintaining trail cameras, tree stands, and hunting blinds.
Equipment and Shop:
Transporting equipment to and from service companies.
Organizing and cleaning the shop and storage areas.
Performing routine and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
Assisting with inventory management and tracking expense receipts.
Operation of chainsaw
Communication and Support:
Answering phone calls and screening inquiries.
Communicating with suppliers and vendors.
Assisting the Land Manager with various tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license. CDL preferred but not required.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience operating farm machinery is a plus, but not required.
Heavy equipment operation is involved.
Additional Information:
This position reports directly to the Land Manager.
10-20 hours per week
Primarily daytime with flexible hours
Compensation is based on experience and includes W2 payroll reporting.
This is not a cash job!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
