Job Description Systems Network Engineer IPay Rate: $40/hourDuration: 6–12 month contractSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMLocation: Hybrid – Elgin, Chicago, and customer sites (local travel required)Role OverviewSupport mission?critical public safety video and communications systems, overseeing the technical delivery of projects from award through system acceptance. This role focuses on the design, deployment, and documentation of complex video and network solutions within a fast?paced, customer?focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement video networks, including infrastructure, VMS, and camera systemsLead technical execution from project award through acceptance testingPerform system staging, testing, configuration, integration, and troubleshootingDevelop engineering designs, diagrams, bills of materials, and final documentationCreate installation plans, scopes of work, and test plansSupport Project Managers, installation teams, and subcontractorsConduct site walks to define customer requirements and project scopeServe as a technical liaison to customers, contractors, and tradesDeliver customer training and technical presentationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree (BSEE or BSCE preferred)3+ years of experience in video system integration, network/system engineering, or wireless communicationsStrong IP networking knowledge (Ethernet, TCP/IP, Layer 2/3)Experience with IP cameras and video management systemsStrong communication, organization, and troubleshooting skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with outdoor wireless solutions (PtP/PtMP), Cambium Networks preferredKnowledge of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS)RF and microwave system design experienceRelevant certifications (CCNA, Network+, Juniper, Nokia, or similar)#INDGEN#ZR
