The role provides consultative guidance to HR teams on employment-related compliance matters in the United States and Canada, with a strong focus on supporting complex workforce transformation actions, including reductions in force, and ensuring consistent application of policies and practices. The role requires the ability to navigate complex, sensitive workforce decisions and provide practical guidance in ambiguous and operationally challenging situations.Key Responsibilities:Support and manage the delivery, implementation, and/or enhancement of HR compliance-led programs, processes, and initiatives to enable compliance with employment law requirements and ensure strategic objectives can be met with speed and scale through the use of technology, automation, and self-service solutionsProvide consultative guidance and support to HR teams on complex workforce actions, including RIFs, in partnership with Employment Law to support business objectives and ensure consistent application of policies and practicesSupport and manage the completion of assigned projects and deliverables (including project and change management) while ensuring key stakeholders are alignedSupport HR Compliance obligations during integration of newly acquired companies in partnership with senior team members and cross-functional partnersAssess and verify HR practices and policies comply with applicable employment lawsIdentify, recommend changes, and update HR Compliance knowledge bases, policies, processes, and other related documentation, and support change management activities which may include training, and establishing HR, manager and employee-facing guidelines and FAQsAccurately analyze, interpret and present data, legal requirements, and risk considerations in a manner which promotes efficient stakeholder engagement and alignmentPerform related duties as may be assigned from time to timeQualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or higher; educational background in legal, compliance, or related field preferred5+ years’ experience in an HR or Legal Compliance-related role with demonstrated growth in complexity and scope, including experience providing consultative guidance to HR and businessstakeholders on U.S. and Canada employment law-related matters and/or workforce actions; experience with complex or high-risk scenarios preferredDemonstrated ability to apply sound judgment in complex or ambiguous compliance situationsProven ability to research, analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate legal concepts related to employment laws to HR and business stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to operate independently in managing complex compliance matters and stakeholder consultation, with a collaborative approachExcellent attention to detail and ability to analyze and convey information from employment data and reports in ServiceNow, Workday, and ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including in virtual settingsExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsGreat teammate; able to partner, collaborate and work effectively with othersAbility to effectively prioritize and manage workload and meet competing deadlinesStrong knowledge and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Compensation And BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$137,500.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
