Location: New York City, NYSalary: $55.00 USD Hourly - $60.00 USD HourlyDescription: Senior Scrum MasterPosition DetailsJob Title: Senior Scrum MasterWork Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite Location: New York City, NY Schedule: 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/weekDuration: 6-month contract with potential extension based on performance, attendance, and business needsInterview ProcessTwo (2) rounds of video interviewsTwo (2) finalists invited for an in-person interviewMust-Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in insurance or financial services Expertise leading Scrum team events and Program Increment (PI) planning Strong technical background with hands-on experience in: Programming Testing Requirements gathering Ability to mentor Scrum teams across: Development Testing Business Analysis (BA) DevOps User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Integrations Capability to analyze risks, identify process gaps, and support remediation activities Proficiency with Agile/work management tools: JIRA Confluence Ativo Experience mentoring teams on AI usage to improve productivity and delivery outcomes Role OverviewDrive projects from inception through delivery Promote Agile excellence across technology and business teams Lead Agile facilitation across the technology portfolio Serve as a hands-on mentor and coach to Scrum teams Partner with Product Owners, delivery leads, technology teams, and business partners Report directly to the Release Train Engineer (RTE) Key ResponsibilitiesTrain, coach, and facilitate teams toward high performance Guide teams in Scrum and Agile principles Enable teams to meet sprint and PI objectives Support Product Owners with backlog creation, refinement, and maintenance Represent teams in Scrum of Scrums and cross-team coordination forums Support Agile tool adoption (JIRA, Confluence) Mentor teams in AI tool usage for documentation, planning, and execution Ensure transparency and accuracy in delivery and progress reporting Monitor and optimize velocity and delivery metrics Identify, escalate, and remove impediments Resolve delivery conflicts and issues proactively Foster collaboration, accountability, and self-management Support continuous improvement via retrospectives and inspections Contribute to Agile Community of Practice initiatives Track and report metrics including velocity, burndown, and predictability Scrum Event Facilitation Daily stand-ups Sprint planning Sprint reviews Retrospectives Team Enablement Monitor Scrum framework adherence in JIRA Build and sustain self-organizing, high-performing teams Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (required) Scrum Master certification (preferred) Proficiency with AI-enabled tools, including: JIRA Confluence Ativo Microsoft Copilot Proven experience mentoring across software delivery disciplines Experience managing SOA-based projects Strong Agile and SDLC knowledge with proven delivery success Experience within life insurance or financial services environments Skilled in facilitating large-scale or cross-functional workshops Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives concurrently Excellent analytical skills, judgment, and independent decision-making By providing your phone number, you consent to: (1) receive automated text messages and calls from the Judge Group, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively "Judge") to such phone number regarding job opportunities, your job application, and for other related purposes.
