Ultrasound Tech Location: Fredericksburg, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,446 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Ultrasound Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: General Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience License: Valid State License required Certifications: ARDMS (AB or OB/GYN or VT) or ARRT required; BLS Must-Have: - ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN, Pediatric Sonography (PS), or relevant ARRT certification - Recent experience performing a variety of ultrasound examinations - Ability to interact effectively with patients and staff Description: The Ultrasound Technician performs ultrasound examinations on patients across all age groups. This role requires confirming provider orders and verifying patient identities. The technician will obtain adequate medical histories to ensure the appropriateness of examinations. Performing examinations is essential for the timely and accurate diagnosis of patients. The technician should maintain clinical and technical competency through annual evaluations. Adherence to departmental policies and infection control standards is mandatory. A safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors must be maintained at all times. Disinfection of equipment and ultrasound probes must follow established guidelines. The technician will effectively interact with students and provide supervision and instruction. Monitoring and maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies is required. Accurate documentation of patient information and procedural data is necessary. Participation in performance improvement activities for the ultrasound department is expected. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
