Utilities Compliance & Project Manager (RV/MH Sector)
Island Communities is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Utilities Compliance & Project Manager to oversee regulatory adherence and utility project management across our growing portfolio of RV and Manufactured Housing (MH) communities. In this role, you will serve as the essential link between onsite properties, regulatory agencies, engineering partners, and senior leadership, ensuring all operations meet strict environmental and municipal standards across multiple states, with a primary focus on Florida.Core ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Oversight & Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), environmental and municipal authorities in various states, and project engineers across our multi-state portfolio.Permitting & Reporting: Collect, organize, and submit all necessary documentation for facility permitting. Proactively track and manage all required reporting to state environmental agencies and local municipalities to ensure 100% compliance across all assets.Operational Partnership: Work closely with onsite Property Managers to monitor facility compliance and evaluate operator performance.Task Management: Maintain a centralized master schedule of permit-required tasks, ensuring timely completion and documentation for every property in the portfolio.Utility Project Management: Oversee both planned and unplanned utility projects. Provide regular status updates to Senior Leadership, ensuring transparent communication regarding project timelines, engineering coordination, and regulatory approvals.Key RequirementsProblem-Solving: Exceptional ability to identify complex operational or regulatory issues across multiple sites and jurisdictions, executing effective, compliant solutions under pressure.Written Communication: Outstanding ability to draft clear, professional correspondence, technical reports, and regulatory documentation for diverse stakeholders, including government officials, engineers, and executive leadership.Industry Experience: Proven experience working within the RV/MH community sector or multi-site property management.Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of FDEP and local municipal regulations, with the adaptability to navigate diverse regulatory environments across multiple states.Professional Collaboration: Ability to effectively coordinate with property managers, civil engineers, and senior leadership to drive project success.Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent utility projects across various locations, from planning through execution.
