ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Gain access to all closed sound and light rooms and panels.
Setting up and operating spotlights and house lighting systems
Oversees parking in back lot and parking of Artists
Assists with unloading and loading of artists equipment.
Setting up and taking down banners, signs, tables, and chairs
Shut down power under the direction of House or Sound Technicians.
Set up follow spot and test. Run follow spot during performance
Assists with setting out stage audio snake and stage monitors.
Assists with setting Mics and D.I.s per performer's rider.
Plug in stage light controller and power up Stage Light Power Supply.
Assists with checking lights and turn on overhead shell lights and park perimeter walk lights.
Will assist with all evacuation and emergency response procedures as needed
Represent the RPD in a friendly and positive manner when communicating with the public, performers, and staff.
Maintains working knowledge of safety procedures. Attends safety training programs and in-service as required for continued development.
Enforces all rules, regulations and policies set up by the Rockford Park District to include the Affirmative Action Plan, maintaining a alcohol and drug free workplace, and following all safety and risk management procedures.
Utilize the Rockford Park District's HRIS system for all HR and payroll-related requirements and to accurately clock in and out for all shifts.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job-specific training will be provided
Previous experience in sound or lighting production preferred
Training in Theatre, Electronics, or Audio Engineering preferred
MACHINES, TOOLS, and/or EQUIPMENT SKILLS: Cell phone, telephone, basic office equipment, and sound and lighting equipment related to stage performance.
Solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions.
Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
