Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Location: Elmira Heights, NY Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 40.0ResponsibilitiesPerform highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting work involved with mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environmentInstall, maintain, and repair equipment, utilizing strong troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and hydraulic skillsWork with various types of building and production equipment, including layout, assembly, testing, and installation based on blueprints, schematics, sketches, and verbal instructionsDiagnose and repair issues involving installations and equipmentFabricate and install necessary equipment to accomplish tasks efficientlyStudy assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, subassemblies, tools, and materials to prepare for workAlign, fit, and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and blueprintsVerify specifications by measuring completed componentsInstall, repair, and service specialized mechanical equipment, machinery, panels, and wiringComplete installations and conduct necessary testing to verify work qualityAssist with additional duties as assigned by supervisor or manager, reflecting changing business conditionsRequirementsHigh school diploma or graduation from a certified technical schoolTwo or more years of related experience in manufacturing or mechanical assemblyEffective team communication skills and willingness to assist with various dutiesStrong troubleshooting, blueprint reading, hydraulic skills, and mechanical aptitudeAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and sketchesKnowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipmentWillingness to work in a safety-conscious environment, reporting injuries or unsafe conditions as requiredCompliance with safety policies and PPE requirementsAttendance and participation in all required training sessions prior to work assignmentOperation of client equipment is not permitted unless certifiedSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
