The Manufacturing Automation team is responsible for the design, integration, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems across Anduril factories. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to help define what production automation looks like for Anduril at a national scale.WHAT YOU'LL DODevelop and implement machine visions systems for automation systems, quality inspection, defect detection, and process monitoringSpecify, procure, validate, and sustain vision system components such as cameras, lenses, lighting, controllers, and softwareOversee the installation, validation, and commissioning of vision systems in production environments across multiple product linesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate high-precision inspection systems into production lines and automation systemsLead efforts into RCCA on vision systems and process failuresTrain production staff on the operation and maintenance of vision systemsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS* Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,or similar4+ years of experience in developing and maintaining vision systems in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated experience developing vision system platforms (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, iRVision, Halcon) and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, OpenCV)Strong understanding of image processing algorithms, optics, and lighting principlesHands-on experience with industrial automation systems (e.g., PLCs, robotics)Familiarity with advanced defect detection techniques, AI-based vision systems, and SPC methodologiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* Active Secret or Top Secret ClearanceUS Salary Range$146,000-$194,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
