NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Sr. Java Software Developer to join our client’s team in Reading, PA. This is an Onsite, contract position.SALARY: $58-70/hour (depending on experience)Unfortunately, at this time our client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas. Only candidates authorized to work in the US without sponsorship should apply.Requirements8-10 years of full-stack Java development experienceProficiency in React, Angular, jQuery, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Spring/Spring-MVC, myBatis, RESTful APIsExperience with relational database design and complex SQL queriesBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experienceExperience working in small to mid-sized SaaS or startup environmentsKnowledge of SaaS platforms in cloud environmentsUnderstanding of modern software design frameworks and architecture principlesKnowledge of AI/machine learning/data science (preferred, not mandatory)ResponsibilitiesLead the development of backend systems and design relational database schemas for scalable, maintainable solutionsContribute to frontend design collaborating with product owners and UX/UI designersWrite clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practicesReview code and deliverables from team members, providing mentorshipSupport the full product lifecycle—develop, test, release, and support—aligned with Agile principlesCollaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designsParticipate in design reviews and ensure alignment across teamsWrite automated tests, implement CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot production issuesDocument systems, architecture, and processes for knowledge sharingEvaluate and interview candidates to support hiring effortsResearch and adopt emerging development tools and frameworksManage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring effective teamwork in cross-functional environmentsNextpath Workforce SolutionsNextPath is a strategic talent partner connecting skilled professionals with organizations driving innovation and growth.
