Radiologic Technologist (Darien) (Part-Time)

OverviewThis position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating radiologic imaging equipment and performing diagnostic imaging on patients in an outpatient procedural facility as ordered by the physician. You may also provide additional support preparing/scrubbing for procedures such as angiograms, venograms, and fistulagrams. All activities should be performed consistent with the Radiologic Technician’s education and training, and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards.ResponsibilitiesPerforms C-Arm Tech Duties: Prepare exam room and equipment to conduct radiologic examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and proceduresAssists with preparing the patient for the surgical procedure by positioning and preppingEffectively operate C-Arm to perform x-rays, practice radiation safety controlIdentify anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper file identification on all imagesReview examination images, finalizing images in PACSPerform quality control procedures to ensure that the equipment operates at optimal levelsAssist in prioritizing assigned work based on workflow fluctuationsProvide detailed and accurate procedure information for collection in databases as neededPerform procedures in compliance with Standards of Care, facility and regulatory requirements, and ARRT Standards of EthicsMaintain quality standards as it relates to HIPAA regulationsCompleting other task as per management requestRequirementsMinimum of High School diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine preferredARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) state of CT license1-4 years of experience in as general radiologic technologist preferredAbility to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organizationWilling to be available for local and/or regional assignments as neededAbility to adequately use the department's computerized system and its associated devicesCompensation$40/hour - $55/hour.
