Senior Java/J2EE Developer – Remote

*Job Overview* We are looking for a *Senior Java/J2EE Developer* with extensive experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in *Java, J2EE, IBM DB2 UDB, and Eclipse*, along with recent *state government project experience*. This role will focus on application maintenance, enhancements, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ongoing support of an existing enterprise application. *Responsibilities* * Develop, test, debug, and implement application enhancements using Java/J2EE. * Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues. * Maintain and modify existing enterprise application code. * Work extensively with IBM DB2 and database-related changes. * Perform application refactoring and performance optimization. * Support application interfaces, batch programs, and application modules. * Implement UI and functional enhancements. * Support data, reporting, and application integration requirements. * Analyze requirements and document technical solutions, dependencies, and impacted system areas. * Create and maintain technical documentation. * Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, Technical Leads, and development teams. * Participate in daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and demonstrations. * Work within Agile development processes and tools such as Azure DevOps. * Participate in knowledge transfer and assist team members with application support. *Requirements* * *10+ years* of Java development experience * *10+ years* of J2EE experience * *10+ years* of IBM DB2 UDB experience * *10+ years* of Eclipse experience * Recent *state government experience within the last 5 years* * Strong enterprise application development experience * Application maintenance and enhancement experience * Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills * Agile/Scrum experience *Required Qualifications* * 10+ years of professional Java development experience. * 10+ years of J2EE experience. * 10+ years of IBM DB2 UDB experience. * 10+ years of Eclipse experience. * State government project experience within the last 5 years. * Strong experience with enterprise application development and maintenance. * Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex applications. * Strong relational database experience. * Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. *Preferred Skills* * Experience supporting large-scale government or public-sector applications. * Experience with application modernization and refactoring. * Experience with batch processing and enterprise integrations. * Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile development tools. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. *Engagement Details* *Work Location:* Remote *Candidate Location:* U.S.-Based Candidates Only *Employment Type:* Contract*Level:* Senior Join us if you’re ready to leverage your expertise in Java/J2EE development within an innovative environment that values agility, quality coding practices, and continuous growth!
