Director of Clinical Education
Responsible for development, implementation, delivery and oversight of the clinical phase curriculum and assessment.Reports to: PA Program DirectorFTE: 1.0DutiesResponsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the clinical preceptor network for all clinical phase studentsWorks with Program Director and Director of Didactic Education to develop and implement horizontal and longitudinal goals and learning objectives within the curriculum to ensure a system of progressive learning and assessment across the continuum of the programDirects the operational processes performed by the Clinical Coordinator to schedule students’ Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPEs)Works with the Program Director and Director of Didactic Education to develop a strategy to design, implement and maintain curricular mapping of the clinical phase of the PA curriculumDevelops and implements the processes and content of preceptor development, onboarding, evaluation and training activitiesLiaison to the faculty of the Creighton University Medical School and other clinical partners and stakeholders on clinical training mattersDevelopment, implementation and oversight of the didactic curriculum and assessment plan for the clinical phase of the programCourse director or co-director as assignedClassroom instruction and small group facilitation in the PA program in areas of expertiseChair, Clinical Education CommitteeDevelops and participates in student assessment and evaluationProvides student advisingContributes to application evaluation, interviews and selection of matriculating students.Participates in ongoing program evaluation and accreditation processes.Performs site visits and coordinates site visits to clinical preceptors by facultyScholarly activity in areas of research interestServes on Creighton University and School of Medicine committees and activities as requestedRequiredPhysician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) Master’s degreeState Licensure (or license-eligible)2+ years of experience in PA educationPlease Attach The Following To Your ApplicationCV/ResumeCover page including your interest in positon.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementAAP/EEO Statement Creighton University is committed to providing a safe and non-discriminatory educational and employment environment.
