Location: Des Moines / West Des Moines, IowaPosition Type: Locum Physician Hematology & Oncology Overview We are seeking an experienced Hematology Oncology physician for locum coverage providing a mix of clinic and inpatient services across two hospital campuses. Practice Highlights Medical Hematology/Oncology coverage -2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off - clinic hrs, 8-4Inpatient coverage at two hospital locationsClinic and inpatient responsibilitiesOutreach coverage to nearby locations up to 6 days per monthTelehealth services availableNursing support with 1:1 coverageMedical imaging, lab, and pharmacy services on-siteEMR: EPIC Candidate Requirements Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology RequiredFellowship trained in Hematology & Oncology RequiredActive Iowa license or active IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)Experienced provider only RequiredMust be willing to cover both hospital campusesClean malpractice and background history RequiredNPDB Self-Query (pulled within the last 30 days) required at presentation Schedule & Coverage Clinic days: 8 per monthPatient contact hours: 6 per dayClinic hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PMNo OR/procedure daysOn-call coverage required (schedule TBD ASAP)Average clinic volume: patients per dayAverage inpatient census: patients per dayAppointment times: 40-minute consults, 20-minute follow-ups Scope of Practice Patient assessments and new treatment planningOngoing treatment management and therapy adjustmentsChemotherapy managementPain management and coordination with radiation and surgical oncologyReferrals for ancillary servicesEnd-of-life care management Why Des Moines, IA?
