Company Description Netcentric Campaigns, founded in 2000 and based in Washington, D.C., is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering advocates for social change by helping them build and leverage effective networks. Through the Fellowship Program in Network Building, we provide advocates with essential tools and training, including frameworks for network success, collaboration opportunities, and actionable strategies for fostering meaningful connections. Our work spans initiatives in public health, environmental advocacy, and social justice, including projects like the Culture of Health Network, WASH network in Ghana, and Fighting Harms from Fracking. With a deep commitment to supporting courageous leaders, we innovate and incubate projects to amplify environmental and public health efforts worldwide. Role Description This is a volunteer, remote role for a Board Member at Netcentric Campaigns. The Board Member will provide strategic guidance to the organization, advocate for its mission and values, and foster relationships with partners. Responsibilities include attending regularly scheduled board meetings, contributing to organizational planning, assisting with fundraising and resource development, and ensuring alignment with the nonprofit's goals and initiatives. The role requires a commitment to advancing social change and building equitable networks. Qualifications Expertise in nonprofit governance, strategic planning, or organizational leadershipExperience in fundraising, donor relations, or resource developmentStrong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skillsKnowledge of network building, advocacy, or social change initiativesUnderstanding of public health, environmental advocacy, or social impact sectors is a plusPrior experience on nonprofit boards or advisory committees is desirableCommitment to serving the mission and values of Netcentric Campaigns
