Senior Hydrogeologist

OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to help us shape the future. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform and lead environmental analyses in support of nuclear environmental licensing projects nationwide. This exciting and impactful role can be based in one of our offices located in:Kennesaw, GA (suburb of Atlanta) Oklahoma City, OKNaperville, ILOverland Park, KSDallas, TX Fort Worth, TXAny ENERCON office will also be consideredResponsibilitiesImagine a day where you’re solving complex groundwater challenges — from modeling underground systems to leading field investigations — making a meaningful impact on the world around you.Groundwater Modeling: Develop, calibrate, and analyze groundwater flow models using MODFLOW to assess and predict hydrogeologic conditionsField Investigations & Data Collection: Develop and conduct field investigations to characterize hydrogeologic systems and evaluate groundwater flow conditions. Collect and evaluate site-specific groundwater data to characterize groundwater flow patterns, evaluate the extent of possible groundwater impacts, and identify any possible receptors. Perform and interpret aquifer tests to measure hydraulic properties. Evaluate site-specific groundwater data to characterize groundwater flow patterns and water qualityImpact Assessment & Remediation: Evaluate the potential impacts of development, land use changes on groundwater resources. Develop remediation plans for contaminated groundwater sites. Monitor remediation activities and assess their effectiveness over timeRegulatory Compliance & Permitting: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to groundwater management, water quality protection, and environmental permitting. Help prepare permit applications and environmental impact assessments as requiredReporting & Communication: Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations summarizing findings from hydrogeological studies and investigations. Communicate complex scientific concepts to clients and regulatory agencies in a clear and understandable mannerProject Management: Manage hydrogeological projects from start to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of fieldwork and laboratory testing activitiesOther areas of focus include: NEPA Compliance, Geographic Information System (GIS), Natural Resources Assessments & Permitting, Geoscience & Remediation Services, Radiological Services and Regulatory Compliance QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Hydrogeology or GeologyMust have a minimum of 6 years of hydrogeology experienceProficiency in hydrogeologic principles to include characterization, assessments, monitoring Experience with field instrumentation and techniques for groundwater sampling and monitoringKnowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes related to groundwaterExcellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and “people” skillsAbility to travel between 10%-20% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on client needs, ranging from a few days to a week.Compensation RangeUSD $82,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.Additional InformationENERCON Services, Inc.
