Regional Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Regional OTR Truck Driver to join our team. We are looking for Hopper Bottom and Belt Trailer drivers. The ideal candidate will have an active CDL, truck driving experience and have agricultural experience. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage routes effectively. Drivers are paid via a percentage with weekly payroll. Operating Monday - Friday with weekends as needed. Health Insurance Reimbursement and Traditional/Roth IRA with 3% match available as company benefits. Duties Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of goods. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and hours of service. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transport. Skills Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Experience in driving and delivering Agricultural products is preferred. Experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Familiarity with various truck types such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tankers. Strong knowledge of route driving and freight handling procedures. Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients.
