This role supports commissioning and startup while ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment and infrastructure.The Manager III oversees multiple maintenance sections through subordinate leaders, allocates resources to meet operational objectives, and guides execution within established company policies while recommending improvements to maintenance procedures and practices. The role collaborates across departments and with external partners, applying advanced technical expertise and strong communication skills to drive effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs and support overall plant performance.Responsibilities IncludeLead and develop the mechanical maintenance team, including technicians, contractors, and subordinate supervisors, while driving a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement across multiple sectionsDevelop, implement, and oversee preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment and systems, translating functional maintenance plans into efficient operational processes that support reliability and cost targets Monitor plant performance and equipment reliability, analyzing maintenance metrics to identify opportunities for improvementCollaborate with Corporate Maintenance, Operations and Engineering teams to plan and execute maintenance projects, shutdowns, and upgradesEnsure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsManage maintenance budgets, including labor, materials, and contractor costs, optimizing resource allocation Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including implementation of digital tools for maintenance tracking & reporting, and RCFA methodologiesCoach and develop maintenance personnel and subordinate supervisors, ensuring the team has the capabilities, training, and resources needed to meet operational objectives and support long‑term functional goalsWhat We Need You To Bring To The TeamBachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered8+ years of progressive maintenance experience in heavy industry, metals, or mineral processing 3+ years of demonstrated leadership experience overseeing teams or multiple functional areasAdvanced knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, and familiarity with plant control systems used in complex operating environmentsProven experience developing and implementing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, including the use of CMMS platforms and reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) methodologiesDemonstrated ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, allocate resources, and deliver maintenance projects on schedule with measurable operational impactStrong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret technical information and influence stakeholders across multiple departmentsConsistent commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with the ability to reinforce policies and recommend enhancements to maintenance practicesExceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to guide multiple sections or workstreams simultaneouslyWhat We Want You To Bring To The TeamBachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in heavy industry, metals, or mineral processing5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience overseeing teams or multiple functional areasStart-up, commissioning, or early-stage plant experienceMust be willing and able to perform safety sensitive job functions including but not limited to: Operating industrial powered vehicles. Operating material handling cranes and hoists. Operating aerial work platforms. Working at heights, including use of all required personal fall arrest equipment. Execution Hazardous Energy Isolation procedures Perform work inside of confined spaces Perform work while wearing a respirator Must be willing and able to submit to medical evaluations and be deemed by a healthcare professional to perform safety sensitive job functions. Employment is contingent upon (1) acceptable medical evaluation confirming ability to perform safety sensitive job functions; and (2) pre-employment post-offer drug screen.CompensationThe anticipated starting pay range for this position is $120,000-$160,000 and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
