Job Title: Quality Engineering Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company Duration: 1 Year 6 Months (Possibility of Extension) Location: Davenport, IA 52809 Shift: 3rd Shift Role Overview Support quality planning, control, and improvement activities across manufacturing and product development processes Ensure products meet company and customer quality standards Work closely with production teams and suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues Responsibilities Apply quality tools within EPDP, EOFP, and Customer Support Process Support quality planning for manufacturing, supply management, and product development teams Analyze manufacturing processes and contribute to improvements in cost, quality, and efficiency Assist in designing engineering solutions and support feasibility testing Conduct quality inspections and evaluate engineering work or installations Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met Identify process gaps and support corrective actions and change management programs Investigate product and process quality issues and implement corrective actions Provide guidance to inspectors on quality procedures and containment actions Facilitate quality discussions with internal teams and external stakeholders Generate monthly quality reports and participate in management reviews Identify and support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects Work extensively on the shop floor (50–75% of time) Must Have Experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Experience working in manufacturing or shop floor environments Knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving techniques Ability to analyze data and implement corrective actions Strong teamwork and communication skills Nice to Have Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree Experience with EPDP, EOFP, or similar product development/fulfillment processes Experience working with suppliers on quality improvement Experience in heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing environments IND_ENG Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $36.00 - $38.00 per hour Experience: Industrial engineering: 2 years (Preferred) Quality improvement: 2 years (Preferred) Manufacturing engineering: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
