Driver Lead Spray Tech (49179)

The Driver Lead Agronomy Tech is responsible for providing guidance and support in the management of ornamental plants, turf, and landscapes as well as providing technical support and expertise. This role involves working closely with the Agronomy Manager to ensure optimal growth, health, and appearance of turf and plants in various settings.Leading a team of technicians providing technical guidance and support on turf and ornamental care ensuring the effective completion of all schedules, work orders, and tasksFollow a strict and regimented schedule provided by a supervisorMonitor plant health and diagnose issues related to pest diseases and environmental stressConduct soil testing to determine nutrient levels and recommend appropriate amendmentsMonitor soil moisture levels and provide feedback to supervisorApplying fertilizers and pesticides as needed to lawns, shrubs and plant material in accordance with accepted industry practices, safety procedures, label instructions, and rules and requirements of various Federal, State, and local regulatory agenciesSafely handling and mixing fertilizers and pesticides according to label instructionsEnsuring the safe, proper operation and cleanliness of tools, vehicles, and equipment; adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirementsProducing accurate records of fertilizers and pesticides usedComplete all assigned work orders and communicate status accordinglyCommunicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project needs and deliver quality resultsImplement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to control and prevent pest infestationsQualificationsProven ability to lead and motivate with excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong knowledge of pesticides, fertilizers, soil science, and equipment calibrationKnowledge of common turf and ornamental issuesGreen Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) Certification required within the first 7 days holding position requiredIn-depth knowledge of equipment, tools, and machinery needed for landscaping operations.Proficient in computer and technology skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and mobile devices.Must possess a valid US driver's license (or equivalent) and meet Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) verification requirementsAbout UsJuniper is a full-service landscape design, build, and management company servicing the Southeast.
