Transportation Coordinator/ Maintenance - NWA
General Description Of PositionThe Transportation Coordinator assists the Director of Adult Development Center - NWA in coordinating the efficient operation of the transportation/building maintenance office including routing, billing, and directing and overseeing the work of the office staff and performs general repairs and maintenance on existing equipment and buildings.MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8:00AM-4:00PMEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAccepts and handles and/or routes telephone calls for the department as required. Keeps Director of Adult Development Center - NWA abreast of all relevant events within the department. Checks paperwork for completion and accuracy. Enters pertinent records and information into the computer including developing and maintaining spreadsheets. Gathers and analyzes data to prepare reports as needed and/or requested. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate. Ensures that vehicle logs, gasoline reports, etc. are completed and distributed by due dates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities of drivers in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Evaluates performance, rewards and disciplines employees. Addresses complaints and assists in resolving problems. Assists Director of Adult Development Center - NWA in recruitment and selection of applicants. Fills in as a driver when needed to ensure scheduled routes are maintained. Performs routine maintenance and repairs of assigned equipment and buildings.Coordinates repairs requiring outside contractors through the Director of Adult Development Center - NWA and the Director of Building Maintenance (Jacksonville).Ensures that contact is made with Director of Building Maintenance (Jacksonville) as required.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.Education And ExperienceHigh school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust possess valid driver's license, have current auto liability insurance coverage and registration, be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas and be able to drive a Pathfinder vehicle.Salary: $18.00 per hour
