Coder Specialist - RemoteJob Type: Contract | Schedule: 40 Hours/WeekLocation: RemoteJob SummaryWe are seeking a Coder Specialist with experience in orthopedic coding to support ER and outpatient coding operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ICD-10, anatomy and physiology, outpatient coding, and medical necessity/CCI edits.Key ResponsibilitiesCode ER and/or outpatient medical records accurately and efficiently.Review and resolve CCI and medical necessity edits as required.Monitor unbilled ER/outpatient accounts and ensure timely coding.Maintain coding quality and productivity of 95% or higher.Complete required continuing education.Communicate effectively with internal customers, external customers, healthcare professionals, and staff.Exercise independent judgment when planning work and resolving routine coding-related issues.Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of orthopedic coding experience.Basic knowledge of ICD-10 coding, anatomy, and physiology.Proficiency with computers and healthcare software.Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry.Must be available during working hours to communicate with the team.Must score 80% or higher on the outpatient coding exam.High School Diploma or GED.Completion of an accredited coding program.PreferredExperience with Epic.Additional DetailsRemote position - no travel required40-hour work weekShift schedule coordinated with the managerCandidates cannot work another contract simultaneouslyImmediate/Upcoming contract opportunity
