We value both teaching quality and meaningful teacher-student interaction, and we strive to create a professional, supportive, and student-centered learning environment.ResponsibilitiesTeach one or more AP humanities courses, including AP U.S. History, AP European History, AP World History, AP Human Geography, AP Micro and Macro Economics, AP Language and Literature, and/or AP PsychologyHelp students develop a strong understanding of key concepts, themes, and course contentGuide students in mastering AP exam requirements, including analytical writing, argumentation, and critical thinkingDevelop lesson plans tailored to students' academic levels and learning goalsAssign and review homework, essays, and practice work, and provide timely feedback to students and parents when neededSupport students in improving exam-taking strategiesContribute to curriculum planning and instructional improvement when necessaryQualificationsBachelor's degree in history, psychology, geography, social sciences, or a related humanities field (required)Previous teaching or tutoring experience in an educational setting (required)Familiarity with AP curricula and AP-style assessments (required)Ability to teach multiple AP humanities subjects preferredStrong English reading, writing, and communication skillsResponsible, patient, and detail-oriented, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearlyPassion for education and the ability to engage and motivate studentsPreferred QualificationsExperience preparing students for AP exams across multiple humanities subjectsFamiliarity with DBQ, LEQ, SAQ, FRQs, or data-based analysisBackground in history, education, political science, psychology, geography, or related fieldsWhat We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a versatile and experienced humanities teacher who can teach across multiple AP subjects and help students achieve strong exam results.
