Guests first and last point of contact with a Chickies & Petes Team Member and therefore the service they provide is critical to starting and ending the Guests experience in a positive manner.Manager: FOH Supervisor/ManagerJob TasksEnsure that the foyer and host/hostess area is clean and neat at all timesSmile and maintain a positive attitude at all timesGreet Guests in a warm, friendly and professional mannerWhen possible, seek out Guests personally when their table is ready rather than making an announcementAccompany Guests to their tables and let them know who their server will beInform Guests about new menu items/specials, entertainment and area eventsCommunicate with staff to ensure seating of Guests occurs as per the organized seating chart in an order that does not overload the kitchen or a particular serverAnswer the phone in a friendly and professional manner. Always remember the person on the other end is a potential Guest.Respond appropriately to Guest complaints; bring any issues to managers attentionAccompany Guests who are there for a party to the appropriate party areaCarefully pack all to-go ordersPerform cashier functions for take-out orders, merchandise, and to-go beer salesCard Guests who appear under age 30 when purchasing packed goods or cigarettesStock all retail items and take inventory as neededAssist with planning parties or special events as neededPerform marketing and other promotional services as neededClean, clear and set tables as neededComplete beginning, change and end of shift side dutiesKeep restrooms clean and stocked at all timesKeep the Host/Hostess Stand clean and organized at all timesThank all Guests for coming as they leave the restaurantAttend all scheduled employee meetingsAdditional tasks as assignedQualificationsMain Responsibilities, Required Skills and Knowledge:Guest Service: Must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet Guests' needs and respond quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from the Guests' overall dining experience.Communication: Must clearly communicate in a professional manner with Guests, vendors, coworkers and management. They must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction or training.Interpersonal Relationships: Must adapt to different personalities of Guests and coworkers without losing focus.Teamwork: Working together as a team is a critical success factor of any restaurant. Establishing good working relationships is key to maintaining a team-oriented work environment.Sales Techniques and Guest Influence: Must understand all Chickie's & Pete's products and services as well as have the ability to understand Guest's needs clearly.Performing General Physical Activities: Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Problem Solving and Conflict Management: Must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure.Analytical Skills: General accounting and mathematical skills required along with point of sale application knowledge. Must use logic and reasoning to identify solutions and alternatives for a successful outcome to problems.Quality Control and Priority Assessment: Must evaluate current practices and processes; immediately recognize potential areas of conflict; and initiate ways to improve current business methods, quality of products and services provided to the Guests.Language Skills: Must be able to speak and write effectively in English.Flexibility: Occasionally works overtime and assists with the workload of others if needed.
