We offer competitive compensation and benefits, while making our consultants our highest priority by supporting their professional growth, career success, and overall well-being.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer for a long term contract opportunity fully onsite in Austin TXResponsibilities:The Cloud Engineer will design, deploy, maintain, and optimize scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.This role is responsible for implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation; monitoring system performance, availability, and capacity; and ensuring cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization best practices.The engineer will collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native applications, manage virtual networks, VPNs, security groups, IAM roles and policies, load balancers, and storage services.Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting cloud service issues, supporting cloud migration and hybrid-cloud initiatives, contributing to disaster recovery planning, and maintaining cloud architecture documentation, operational runbooks, and technical diagrams.Minimum Qualifications:3+ years of hands-on experience with both AWS and Azure cloud platforms.Strong understanding of cloud networking, security controls, and identity/access management in AWS and Azure environments.Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar tools.Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.Experience with monitoring and logging tools including CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Zenoss, and Splunk.Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS and EKS.Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, application performance, and service availability issues.Experience supporting cloud-native applications and enterprise cloud environments.Preferred Qualifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent cloud certification.Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises integration projects.Experience participating in cloud migration initiatives.Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization tools, including Azure Cost Management and AWS Cost Explorer.Experience with disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.Familiarity with cloud compliance and security frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
