Senior Tax Accountant (Indirect Tax Focus) Overland Park, KS (In-Office) $80K–$120K A rapidly growing, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure/services organization is looking to add aSenior Tax Accountantto its expanding team in Overland Park. Backed by a Fortune 500 parent company, this group has scaled to ~$1B in revenue in just a few years and continues to grow aggressively, with plans to expand both headcount and operations. This is a great opportunity to join a team early in its buildout, with strong visibility and long-term growth potential as the tax and accounting functions continue to evolve. About the Role: This position will focus primarily on multistate sales & use tax, while also offering broader exposure across accounting and tax functions. You’ll work directly with the Tax Manager and play a key role in building processes and supporting a growing organization. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and file multistate sales & use tax returns across multiple entities Manage tax compliance calendar and ensure timely filings Support tax reconciliations and prepare accruals Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and cash applications Maintain exemption certificates and documentation Research tax issues and support audits and inquiries Partner with operations on tax estimates and project-related matters Support property tax compliance and process improvements What They’re Looking For: 3–5+ years of tax experience (indirect tax preferred, but flexible) Background in public accounting or corporate environments Open to candidates from income tax, audit, or general accounting looking to move into indirect tax Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment ERP and Excel experience required Why This Role: High-growth company with strong financial backing Opportunity to help build out the tax function from the ground up Broad exposure beyond just tax Clear runway for advancement as the company continues to scale Collaborative, in-office team with strong visibility to leadership
