Manufacturing Engineer

As the world's leading manufacturer of folding tables, chairs, and basketball systems, Lifetime also manufactures storage sheds, kayaks, paddle boards, and playsets.Lifetime Products Inc., is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Mascot (Knoxville) Tennessee.The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes through "Lean" principles and recommending equipment for the blow molding production and logistics departments on all shifts as needed. You will be part of an energetic group of professionals in a fast paced state of the art manufacturing environment.Must be self-motivated, proactive, organized and have excellent communication skills, as well as a good attitude regarding team work and working well with all team members.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):Work closely with production, logistics, maintenance and engineering teamsDesign, set up, and support product assembly and packaging linesAnalyze and optimize material flow and process efficiencyCreate and maintain routings and costingDevelop processes and write process documents and work instructionsIdentify equipment needsTroubleshoot assembly and packaging equipmentDeploy new productsQualifications:Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET)Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical analysis, time studies, and manufacturing cost.Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents.Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft office which include Outlook, Word and Excel.Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, 3D CAD experience is a plus.Ability to communicate effectively in front of groups and work in a team environment.Lean manufacturing experience/certification is a plus.To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Safety and Security Complies with all safety and security policies and procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, and uses equipment and materials properly.Quality Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Monitors own work to ensure quality.Trust & Respect - Treats people with respect, works with integrity and ethics, and upholds organizational values.Innovation - Generates suggestions for improving work.Team Work - Balances team and individual responsibilities, puts success of team above own interests, and supports everyone's efforts to succeed.Diversity - Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences, and promotes a harassment-free environment.Lifetime Products is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Paid time off, profit sharing program, Medical, Life insurance, Vision, Dental, Disability, & 401K.
