Job Title: Senior RPG Software Developer (On‑Site)Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (On‑Site Required)Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior RPG Software Developer to join our in‑house technology team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting business‑critical applications built using RPG on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and IT stakeholders in an on‑site environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain RPG applications supporting core business operationsWork with legacy RPG (RPG III/IV) as well as modern RPG (ILE / FreeForm RPG) codebasesVisual RPG ASNA maintenance of legacy systemsAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutionsTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely mannerParticipate in system modernization initiatives, integrations, and performance tuningCollaborate closely with analysts, developers, and business users onsiteMaintain technical documentation and follow established development standardsSupport production systems and participate in on‑call or scheduled support as neededRequired QualificationsMinimum 10 years of hands‑on experience developing applications using RPG on IBM iStrong experience with RPG IV / ILE RPG, CL, and DB2 for iProven experience working with legacy systems and modernizing existing codebasesBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related fieldStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in an on‑site team environmentMust be willing and able to work 100% onsitePreferred QualificationsExperience with Free‑Form RPGFamiliarity with IBM i system administration conceptsExperience with SQL, web services, or system integrationsExposure to application modernization or ERP systemsExperience with Asna Visual RPG
