Construction Project Manager

A well-established general contractor in the Kansas City metro is hiring a Construction Project Manager to lead commercial projects in hospitality, entertainment, and senior living construction. This Construction Project Manager will own each project from estimate handoff through closeout, managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractor relationships. The ideal candidate brings a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.What We OfferSalary range of $90,000 - $125,000 base salary and bonus potential on top of thatEmployer-paid medical coverage with vision and dental starting the first of the month after hire401K with company contributionsVehicle allowance and gas card plus cell phone stipendPTO, paid holidays, and professional development opportunitiesKey Responsibilities - Construction Project ManagerManage project delivery from estimate handoff through closeout, maintaining accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectivesDevelop and maintain project budgets, master schedules, procurement strategies, and cash flow forecastsNegotiate and execute prime contracts, CM agreements, subcontracts, and change orders while controlling scope and costOversee Project Engineers, Construction Managers, and Site Superintendents; lead job site meetings and prepare status reportsBuild and manage client relationships, collaborate with architects and owners on best-value construction solutions, and support proposal developmentQualifications - Construction Project ManagerBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field experience required5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, multi-family, or senior living projectsDemonstrated history of planning, leading, and safely executing profitable construction projectsProficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and GC Pay or similar construction management softwareStrong contract negotiation, budgeting, and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications - Commercial Construction PMOSHA 30-Hour certificationExperience managing projects valued at $5M+ in the Kansas City marketFamiliarity with design-assist or design-build delivery methodsLEED AP or similar sustainability credentialPhysical Requirements - Construction Project ManagerAbility to visit and walk active construction job sites regularly, including uneven terrain and multi-story structuresMay require lifting up to 25 lbs occasionallyExposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and dust on project sitesValid driver's license required for travel between job sitesStandard business hours with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines
