Junior Production Accountant

Job Summary:The Junior Production Accountant is responsible for managing the financial aspects of ReelShort productions. This role involves sending contracts, cost tracking, and ensuring that all financial transactions are documented and reported accurately. The Production Accountant works closely with producers and other departments to ensure financial efficiency throughout the production process.Key Responsibilities:Cost Tracking and Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all production costsPaperwork Processing:Sending and tracking payroll documents, including contracts and invoicesEnsure all financial transactions are properly documented and approvedFinancial Compliance:Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policiesPrepare and manage financial cost reports as requiredCoordination and Communication:Act as a liaison between production teams and accounting departmentsCommunicate financial information to the production team and casts, ensuring they sign all paperwork accurately and on timeRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldPrevious experience in production accounting, film, or television industry preferredStrong proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft ExcelExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to work onsite in Culver City, CA or New York, NY 4 days a weekBenefitsHealth insurance, dental, vision
