We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager who understands how complex buildings function and can successfully manage projects involving sophisticated MEP systems, active operations, demanding stakeholders, and aggressive schedules. This position is based in our El Segundo office and requires regular involvement at active project sites throughout LAX.
Who We're Looking For This is not a typical tenant improvement Project Manager position.

Airport operations and stakeholder management
Construction sequencing and logistics planning
CPM scheduling principles
Preconstruction planning and procurement
Cost management and forecasting
The ideal candidate has successfully managed complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout and possesses the technical expertise to identify problems before they impact schedule, budget, or operations.
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $155,000 – $175,000 DOE

Primary Responsibilities Project Leadership Manage projects from preconstruction through final turnover
Lead project planning, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and procurement logs
Monitor financial performance and maintain accurate cost reporting
Ensure successful delivery of schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
MEP & Technical Coordination Lead coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Alarm, Fire Protection, Low Voltage, and Specialty Systems
Review drawings and identify coordination conflicts prior to installation
Facilitate constructability reviews and problem-solving sessions
Coordinate commissioning, startup, testing, and owner turnover activities
Work closely with consultants, engineers, and specialty subcontractors
Airport Stakeholder Management Coordinate with LAWA, airlines, tenants, consultants, and airport stakeholders
Support Utility Shutdown Requests (USR), Area Shutdown Requests (ASR), and operational planning efforts
Develop phasing plans that minimize operational impacts
Participate in stakeholder meetings and project planning sessions
Ensure compliance with airport requirements and security protocols
Scheduling & Project Controls Review and actively manage CPM schedules
Work closely with project teams to maintain schedule integrity
Identify critical path risks and develop mitigation strategies
Support schedule recovery efforts when required
Collaborate with scheduling staff and understand Primavera P6 scheduling methodology
Utilize schedule information to drive project execution
Preconstruction & Estimating Support Participate in estimating and budgeting efforts
Perform scope reviews and quantity takeoffs
Support subcontractor buyout and procurement activities
Assist with GMP development and lump sum pricing efforts
Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews
Project Administration Manage RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, and Pay Applications
Lead OAC meetings and project coordination meetings
Maintain project documentation and reporting
Coordinate owner communication and project updates
Support closeout and warranty activities
Required Qualifications Candidates must meet all of the following
10+ years of experience as a Project Manager for a Commercial General Contractor
Proven experience managing complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Strong understanding of building systems and MEP coordination
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong financial management and forecasting experience
Experience with procurement and subcontractor buyout
Strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles
Ability to review and analyze project schedules
Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work from our El Segundo office and regularly visit LAX project sites
Preferred Qualifications LAX project experience
Experience working with LAWA
Airport construction experience
Terminal infrastructure experience
Experience with TSA and CBP facilities
Experience with airline operational facilities
Experience with airport restaurants, retail, lounges, gates, and hold rooms
Primavera P6 experience
Procore experience
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
