Join Burton Electronics Manufacturing Service as an SMT Machine Operator
We’re searching for reliable, detail-oriented individuals to help operate and support the automated equipment used to assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs). This is a great role for someone who enjoys learning new skills, working with technology, and contributing to high-quality production in a team setting. No prior SMT experience is required—we provide paid, hands-on training.
Your Role as an SMT Machine Operator: In this position, you will:
Operate and monitor automated circuit board assembly machines.
Load electronic components and ensure proper setup for accurate placement.
Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
Make basic adjustments as trained to keep equipment running smoothly.
Assist with minor maintenance and communicate any issues to team leads.
Inspect finished circuit boards using magnification tools and automated inspection systems.
Record production and quality data accurately.
Maintain safety standards, keep your workspace organized, and follow ISO 9001 and 5S principles.

On-site at our Upper Michigan manufacturing facility in Ironwood.
Position Details:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $16.50 per hour, depending on experience
Expected Hours: 40 per week
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday with occasional Friday overtime
