Registered Nurse CICU

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-acuity, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients, including those recovering from cardiac surgery, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, heart failure, and other complex cardiovascular conditions. The Registered Nurse CICU is responsible for continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, timely recognition and response to changes in patient status, and safe administration and titration of critical care medications such as vasopressors, inotropes, anti-arrhythmics, and sedation. You will collaborate closely with intensivists, cardiologists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care that prioritize patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes.Working in our collaborative culture that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and professional growth, you will serve as a primary patient and family advocate, providing clear communication, education, and emotional support throughout the critical care experience. Daily responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, interpreting cardiac and telemetry data, managing ventilated and post-operative patients, coordinating diagnostic tests and procedures, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
