This role supports production by assembling high-reliability cable and harness systems while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with IPC requirements.ResponsibilitiesFabricate wire and cable harness assemblies using work instructions, drawings, and bills of materialCut and strip wire to specificationCrimp terminals to wire ends and insert pins into connectorsInstall and shrink insulation sleevingInstall cable ties and route assemblies properlyPerform simple harness assembly and mechanical assembly workUse automated machinery for cutting, stripping, and pinning wireCommunicate with supervisors and managers regarding production needsAssist in training entry-level Cable Assembly employeesQualifications and RequirementsAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishAbility to follow instructions from management with minimal supervisionAbility to interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawingsSkilled in the use of hand tools to cut, strip, pin, and tin wireExperience with automated wire processing equipment preferredMust be able to obtain or currently hold IPC certifications such as:IPC J-STD-001IPC/WHMA-A-620High school diploma preferred or 2–4 years of cable harness fabrication experienceAbility to use hand tools for extended periodsMust be able to differentiate wire colorsAbility to lift and carry up to 30 poundsAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods during shiftsYour New OrganizationThis organization is an established electronics manufacturing company that supports the design, testing, and production of electronic assemblies used across a variety of industries. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
