This position specializes in the art of engraving, a technique of incising intricate designs, patterns, or texts onto various surfaces, typically metal, wood, glass, or stone.Responsibilities:Engraves letters and figures on products, such as badges, fraternal emblems, pendants, and thermometers, using engraving machine.Inserts specified letters and figures into pattern frame.Positions and secures work piece in machine holding fixture and places stylus at beginning of pattern.Engraves designs on work piece by moving stylus around pattern, causing cutting tool to duplicate motion on work piece.Engraves lettering and ornamental designs on soft metal articles, such as silverware, trophies, aluminum or plastic eyeglass frames, and jewelry articles, according to sketches, diagrams, photographs, or sample work pieces, using engraver's hand tools.Lays out design or lettering to be engraved on object by brushing chalklike powder or solution on item and sketching design in powder, locating reference points, and marking outline of design on item, using scribers or gravers, or by imprinting design on surface of item, using inked rubber stamp, and marking outline, using scribers.Mounts piece in chuck and affixes chuck in jeweler's ball (rotating vise) or mounts piece directly in jeweler's ball.Polishes articles by hand or by using a polishing wheel.May sketch original designs.May repair metal defects, such as holes, scratches, dents, and unevenness.Other duties as assigned.Desired Background/Skills:High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.One plus years' experience in engraving.Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to prioritize.Outstanding collaborative problem-solving skills.Pro-active, results-oriented creative thinker.Thrives working in a fast-paced environment and proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively.Must have ability to multitask with changing priorities quickly.Excellent written and verbal communication.Results driven team player.Knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP.Ability to work overtime as required including weekends when needed.Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.Don't miss out on this excellent opportunity to join a hardworking, supportive team- apply with us today to get started!
